TAMAR pays homage to a Brazilian foundation dedicated to marine conservation, highlighting their efforts to protect biodiversity and promote environmental education. In their series Zoomorphs, the artist delves into the interconnectedness of individual consumption and its global impact.  By drawing parallels with the sustainable practices of indigenous peoples in Brazil, the artist underscores the need to adopt similar principles.

Inspired by the Brazilian mythological creature Curupira, the work seeks to draw attention to the urgent need for a shift towards a circular economy, prompting reflection on the values and behaviors we pass on to future generations.

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Raquel’s Fornasaro is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes video, oil paintings, sculpture, installation, digital art, and land art, and is currently located in Boston, Massachusetts.
