In Sarmiento’s short film a girl and a grandmother reflect on a dream in the Peruvian Amazon. Interpreting the imagery from the dream, they have a deeper connection and explore an exchange of meaning and rendering based upon local indigenous knowledge and wisdom.
 
Sarmiento is a multi-award winning director and producer who received his Bachelor of Media and Communications at the PUCP University (Peru) as well as an MFA in Documentary Filmmaking at EICTV (Cuba).
